FAQ
Does swiping right charge me?
Never. A right swipe only means you're interested. You'll choose an amount, see every fee, and confirm explicitly before you're taken to a secure checkout run by our payment provider.
Where does my sponsorship money go?
Wherever possible, straight to the biller — the electricity board, the school, the telecom operator — through regulated bill-payment rails. OnlyBills never holds your money in a wallet, and bill owners never receive a withdrawable balance from us.
How do you know a bill is real?
Every bill is reviewed before it gets a Verified badge. For many utility bills we can also confirm the outstanding amount directly with the biller. Automated text reading only helps our reviewers. It is never treated as proof.
Will people see my name, address or account number?
No. Originals are stored privately. We generate a redacted preview on our servers that removes names, addresses, phone numbers, account and consumer numbers, QR codes and payment references. You review that preview before anything goes live.
Can I sponsor part of a bill?
Yes, if the owner allows partial sponsorship. Several sponsors can share one bill. A bill is only marked fully sponsored once confirmed payments cover the whole eligible amount.
What if a bill isn't fully sponsored before it's due?
Contributions are refunded through the original payment method. We'll notify you at every step. Refund timing depends on your bank and payment method.
Is it free to list a bill?
Yes. Listing is free. Any payment-processing fee on a sponsorship is shown to the sponsor before they confirm.
What can't I upload?
Loans, credit-card dues, general debts, salary advances, fundraising campaigns, investments, donation requests, or any request for cash without a genuine underlying bill or invoice.
Is OnlyBills live?
We're pre-launch. Payments currently run in test mode only, clearly labelled, and no real money moves until our regulatory and payment-partner approvals are complete.
